Nancy R. Chiswick, Ph.D.

Nancy R. Chiswick, Ph.D.Dr. Chiswick graduated from Smith College, where she majored in Government and English. She received her M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Developmental Psychology from The University of Illinois (Chicago). She completed her internship in Clinical Child Psychology at the Children’s Memorial Hospital at Northwestern University Medical School. Dr. Chiswick has been a developmental psychologist for the Base Service Unit of Centre County, a clinical staff psychologist for the Student Mental Health Center at Penn State, and is a founding member and former President of the Child, Adult, and Family Psychological Center. Dr. Chiswick served as a Delegate-at-Large to the White House Conference on Families, and has been an Allied Health Professional at Centre Community Hospital, a Consulting Psychologist at The Meadows Psychiatric Center, and an Adjunct Professor of Psychology and of Human Development at The Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Chiswick is licensed to practice psychology in Pennsylvania, and is a member of The National Register of Health Care Providers in Psychology, the American Psychological Association, and the Pennsylvania Psychological Association. She is also a Fellow of the Pennsylvania Psychological Association, and has been listed in Who’s Who of American Women. Dr. Chiswick is experienced in individual, marital, and family psychotherapy with children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Chiswick’s special interests include family issues and the needs of women experiencing depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.
